I picked up my first camera when I was only a little girl... it was then that I fell in love with photography. I dreamed of someday becoming a photographer. I took classes in college, but majored in Early Childhood Education. I became a teacher, and as a teacher made sure I captured each school year in photographs.
After teaching kindergarten for three years, I got married. My husband, Bryan, was transferred to Delaware. The following year we had our first child, Austin.
When I became a mother, I found even more importance in photography. Time was escaping and I wanted memories to hold onto. I wanted to capture moments in time, moments that pass all too quickly. As I shared our photos with others, I began being asked to capture those special moments for friends as well. Heather Rhoads Photography was born.
Now I have two jobs I always dreamed of. I am a mother and a photographer.
